• Just six months after RampUp was held at San Francisco’s landmark Fairmont Hotel, the inaugural RampUp New York is coming to its Big Apple analogue, the Plaza Hotel, on Sept. 18, 2019.

That’s right—our flagship event is going bicoastal and semiannual, too. Check out why RampUp events rock:

Wait—hasn’t RampUp always been in New York?

We’ve brought RampUp on the Road to New York for five years. This is the first time the full RampUp experience is coming to the Big Apple. Just like RampUp San Francisco, RampUp New York attendees can expect marquee keynote speakers and multiple tracks of thought-leadership content alongside the LiveRamp Innovation Studio. There will be plenty of opportunities to mingle with marketers and representatives from brands, agencies, publishers, data providers, and platforms over delectable food and drink.

RampUp New York comes at a pivotal time. Business as usual no longer exists. News reports of data breaches and companies being fined millions of dollars fill the news media. And just like a few years ago with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), companies are preparing to comply with the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), another significant regulatory law.

RampUp New York attendees will gain confidence in tackling the challenges before them from hearing how their peers and mentors are handling similar issues.

    Agenda highlights

Our thought leadership tracks, “Mastering the New Media Landscape” and “Getting Creative with Data,” are geared toward media and analytics professionals, and those on the data and creative side, respectively. The LiveRamp Innovation Studio features deep-dive sessions into the company’s new solutions and use cases.

“Mastering the New Media Landscape” kicks off with Michael Beach, CEO of Cross Screen Media, sharing how companies can build more agile media and measurement strategies amidst continuing fragmentation.

Another highlight is hearing from publishers and brands on how they are reestablishing their relationships in the quest for transparency and return on ad spend (ROAS).

Later in the day, attendees will receive tangible advice on managing the ever-changing regulatory space during “Campaign-Building in the Fourth Wave of Privacy Regulation.” This panel features Ken Dreifach, Ad Tech and E-commerce Lawyer and Counselor at ZwillGen; Noga Rosenthal, Chief Privacy Officer and General Counsel at NCC Media, and Neil Sweeney, Founder and CEO of Freckle IoT.

“Getting Creative with Data” puts attendees in the right mindset for the day with an opening presentation by Carmen Simon, a well-known cognitive neuroscientist, who will present “The Neuroscience of Embracing Change in Marketing and Consumerism.”

Continuing on the theme of evoking emotion in creative with data at the core is “Experience is the Hook, First-Party Data is the Catch.” Panelists Chris Makiuchi, Director of Marketing Technology & Analytics at the NBA; Karisa Booker, Director of Guest Analytics at AMC Theatres; and Michele McCray-Howard, Director of Media Partner Solutions at Macy’s, will share how they establish the value exchange between people and their brands by being transparent about how their data will be used and what they’ll get in return, and how other companies can encourage this two-way dialogue.

The track ends with “Matching Messaging to Customer Lifetime Value,” a perfect marriage between data smarts and creativity that will give attendees greater confidence to form closer cross-team relationships.

    There will be RampPups!

Let’s not forget about some of our most popular four-legged attendees to RampUp. The RampPups will be back and available for cuddles between sessions. Here are some pups that attended last year’s event in New York:You won’t want to miss the first ever RampUp New York.
